What are the effect of climate change?

     Now on earth, because of climate change, much nature and many people are effected in various way. Humans violent activity such as burning fuels or use cars lead global warming. For example, handwerk state that "over the last century, the average temperature has climbed about 1 degree Fahrenheit". This shows Arctic ice melts so that low altitude place such as coaster and small island will go under water and lost their house. Next, global warming have a little good things for some area. For example, Handwerk point out that "Summer sea ice breakup in Hudson Bay already occurs two to three weeks early than it did hard a century ago". This show that around Hudson Bay rise temperature and melting ice earlier so that people can do import and export longer and they can make more profit. Finally, recently years, climate change is more violent and some region or people are damaged. For example, Kakissis report that "more people are leaving because of river erosion and dwindling job opportunity". This show that climate change cause flood and wash away their house so that people look for job to another city and other poor area is also in trouble because too many people come and use rare resources. To sum up, climate change have little benefit on specific area ; however, most people are in trouble because they are destroyed their house and lost their job opportunity.

Response for Innovations for the Developing World

     In the article, Innovations for the Developing World, the author mentions that electricity and clean water machine have many benefit for developing country. This is very important for growth of poor area. Firstly, unlike developed countries, poor country like Bangladesh has not so much oil or fuel for  generating electricity. However new machine can use local fuel, for example cow dung, so people can get fuel easily and make electricity. Secondly, They have no electricity and lights at night time; therefore they cannot do anything at night except for sleeping. This water-clean machine provide electricity for one bulb; as a result, people who live in no electricity area can get night time and use time more efficiently. Finally, water-claeaning machine can  even clean up dirty water, so people save rainwater in buckets and change it to clean water. Moreover, in addition to Kamen, who is engineer and inventor the machine, can be separated; therefore, people sell each parts and get a new jobs. To do this, developed countries have to lend a hand for poor countries. To sum up, providing electricity and clean water is helpful for developing countries both quality of life and economy sides. Many people can get good life in the future.

The Unicorn in the Garden

Q. Is the man crazy? Discuss evidence for and against view that he is.

For:  The man is crazy. Because he says he saw the Unicorn which does not exist on the earth. He may take drugs and see hallucination. His behaving is so crazy, for example, when he loses sight of Unicorn, he suddenly sleeps by the tree. He acts strangely. His wife finds he is crazy and call police and psychologist. However he takes drugs and doesn't remember what he said, so he says he doesn't see it.  Finally his wife is suspected and taken away.

Against:
● He is not crazy. His wife always handle him coldly and badly. This is showed that his wife look him "coldly" and "unfriendly" when he tells her the unicorn in the garden. He thinks he wants to be free from his scary wife. Then he hits upon a good idea for being free. The idea is behaving crazy and let her call police and psychologist. After coming police and psychologist, he tells police a lie. As a result, his wish is fulfilled and his wife is taken away. And he lived happily ever after. His wife acts  as she believes before she makes sure whether it is true or untrue.

● He is not crazy. He just wants his wife to be surprising. He says it for a joke, however she behaves coldly and unfriendly. Moreover she says he is booby. He doesn't like the word booby so he is angry. Then he is behave crazy because of being angry and his wife call police. He is tired and sleep by the tree so he recovers his composure. And he says he doesn't see a unicorn. As a result, his wife is taken away.

Hello. My name is Masaharu Mori. I am come from Japan and this is my first visiting US. And I major in British and American studies in Japan.
